Surviving LUPUS

I have always been hearing about Little lamb’s massage services for infants and toddlers. I want to try it out for the little girl. And so today, together with Anevay’s two god mothers we tried out their massage. It was a female bonding with a twist. lol. Three adults and a toddler for a massage.

But before the massage we spend some time going around Eastwood and we set foot at the new mall for the first time. This is the fountain situated on the front of the mall.

I don’t really know if my pleurisy is back but I have the feeling that my LUPUS is again affecting my LUNGS. I have trouble breathing when I am laying down and then my right shoulder blades is really painful. I am keeping my fingers crossed that 20mg of prednisone will control any damage.

And then just this morning, my whole body is aching. I remember my husband’s suggestion to have a whole body massage. So when my little girl was taking a nap, I called the home service spa. Fortunately, the massage help ease the pain.

We went shopping this weekend and of course the shopping won’t be complete without us going to the toy store. And here is what we got….

This puppies are part of the Puppy in my Pocket collection. I am not sure how many puppies are there but the toy is being sold with three puppies accompanied by two hair pins and a ring wherein you can put the puppy as an accessories to the pin or ring. And there are being sold at a cheap price. Around $3+. The puppies entertain my daughter during the weekend.

Finally, I was able to find the will to wake up early and do some exercise. But I was only halfway through my minutes in the treadmill my little girl woke up. Seeing that I am wearing shoes, she demanded to wear her rubber shoes too!

Not only that she also took over my treadmill. lol!

That’s my exercise partner. One of the reason why I wanted to be fit and healthy.

Our weekend was spent mostly at home resting since the whole week we have been out of the house to attend the little girl’s swimming lesson. So, let me share with you some snapshot of the whole week of her swimming lessons (five days in all)

I was waiting for the stuff that I bought online this weekend. There was a delay on the shipment but fortunately after a few calls from the courier I received my orders. And the seller included a cute freebie that my imaginative 2 year old daughter took fancy and called it ‘Magic Wand’.

The free is a ballpen that has a flower on its end. Look!

Two of Anevay’s god mother came to visit us this weekend. It was a day of catching up and laughter. We haven’t seen each other since July 2008 and so we have a lot of things to talk about. They bought some clothing for the little girl as a gift and Anevay in turn was eager to wear both.

So here she is with the gifts she received :

When I went to my doctor last week for a check up, the first thing caught his attention is my weight gain. Well, it was already expected since he put me on high dose prednisone (50 mg per day) to control the pleurisy (fluid) in my lungs. And since the XRAY has showed that my lungs are now clear (THANK GOD!), he told me that he would drastically decreased my prednisone (steriods) to avoid the weight gain and moon face. And with this I also decided that it’s time I started running again on this machine.

I was surprised to see one of my orchids have two flowers already went I went to our garden to water the plants.

I am feeling a little bit guilty since I have not been good to my garden lately. I have been so busy that I there are times that taking care of the plants and flowers cannot fit on my schedule. So I am glad to see this beauty.

God’s creation at its finest. A positive sign for me since I have been feeling a little bit down what with my little girl getting sick and me feeling the stress of being alone to take care of her.

It’s the time of the month again for my check up. In preparation for that I have to undergo some laboratory examination such as complete blood count, urinalysis, serum creatinine and C3. All this are needed to make sure that my LUPUS is under control. Also I had to go for another XRAY to look if the fluid in my lungs have been taken care of my prednisone intake. I know it sounds complicated.
