Walking Chart Aug 10 – Aug 16
Everysince I was diagnosed with LUPUS, walking have already been a challenge for me. On my worst LUPUS years, I can barely walk. My mobility is that of an eight year old woman suferring osteoporosis. My muscles seems to have a mind of their own that when I stand up just for 5 minutes, then I would not be able to sit. Their would be muscle stiffness. Same when I am sitting. I would have to look for support just to stand from a sitting position. Its the same story when I am in bed. I need to used my legs to pull me up.
So, being on the treadmill for 30 mins is a feat. At first, I divided my walking time to 10 mins each. My leg muscle cannot go over 10 mins. But because of persistence this week I was able to achieved this with little rest in between.
I was puffing and sweating all over but yes I am happpy. I was able to achieved such with my lupus battered legs. And because of this for the next 30 days I would be walking for 45 mins in my treadmill.
Here are my walking logs for this week.
I did not walk for two days, I called it my rest day. But the truth is on both days I was not able to find an opportunity to walk. But all in all I am so happy I am making progress.
