Surviving LUPUS

Just a brief backgrounder : SUMMER is the least favorite time of a LUPUS patient because believe it or not the SUN can be our enemy. We are photosensitive thus a bit of exposure to the sun can wreak havoc in our immune system.

So I think I am so blessed to be able to enjoy my summer this year. I was able to go to the beach and have fun under the sun without having complications like rashes or coming up with a flare. I just make it a point to have a SUNBLOCK everytime.

Now, let’s have a say on Samantha’s Saturday 9 :

1. What is your favorite summer drink?

Fruit juices and shakes. Especially mango.

2. What is the best summer sport to play?

I’m not really sporty but I like the volleyball the best choice to play especially if your in the beach.

3. What’s the best summer sport to watch?

I’m a big BASKETBALL fan. So I say, basketball.

4. Do you like the ocean, the pool or the lake?

Ocean.

5. Some folks drink whiskey in the winter and gin, tequila (margaritas) or rum drinks in the summer. Does you alcohol of choice change?

Nope because I haven’t tried drinking any alcoholic beverages (except for soda, of course). And I am already 29!

6. What is your favorite summer song?

I can’t think of any right now.

7. What was your best summer growing up? How old were you and why was it best?

I think all of my summer during childhood are the best. Because my father and mother were still with me.

8. Have you ever had a summer romance that you knew would end?

Nope.

9. How old were you when you first went skinny-dipping? Who were you with?

Haven’t tried it.
