There is HOPE!

Finally after two long years I was able to set foot on a spa again. Though just for one hour. And it’s for my first ever ventosa session. When I was young I have been hearing about ventosa a lot from my favorite aunt. In fact I have seen it being performed once. Wherein a glass with something hot inside it is place on your back so that it can suction the ‘bad cold’ that causes some aches on your body. So when I saw that it is being offered in the spa I took advantage of it while waiting for the little girl. Well, it’s just for thirty minutes.

Before I head off to the session, I researched about it and the pictures that I saw in the internet turned me into a coward that at some point I wanted to give up the idea. But well I am curious so sans the fear I went. And boy was I glad. I just did not look into their apparatus. haha. The therapist was friendly enough and explained to me that I really have a lot of ‘lamig’. A term which local used to described the amount of cold that is stored in our body to cause muscle stiffness. I can feel the suction caps sucking away those colds. In fact, when place on my lower back I can feel some pain which surprise me and made me think what part of my body is being affected by the suction.

The therapist was really good even the thirty minute back massage that was given to me was nice. It made me want to just lay there and let her massage my whole body but I was also raising against time because the little girl will be dismissed from her class already. The ventosa experience was a pleasurable one. I planned to call them for home service for a two hour grandma massage ( or hilot). And guess what how much I paid for a one hour of that Php 200. And a Php 50 tip to the therapist. When I was given the bill I even have to asked twice how much I will pay. hahah. I did not know that it’s that cheap. hehe.
