The theme/prompt for this week, May 19, is:
TAILS – “Brave”
Tell about a time when you felt brave or showed bravery. (This is TAILS so it needs to be a true/real post from your own life.)
This are the moments in my life that I felt brave :
- When I was 15 years old I loss both of my parents to disease. They died 12 days apart, just months before I enter college. After their death, the three of us (my older brother and sister) decided to move to a different location and start a new life. We really don’t know much about life at that time because we were sheltered.
- When I was 22 years old I was diagnosed with LUPUS, a unpopular, incurable but controllable disease. For someone who is scared of syringes and injection I was subjected to numerous blood extraction, blood transfusion and even two operation. Now, I can even look at the syringe when blood is being extracted from my arm.
- When I was 26 years old, I decided to marry the man who never gave up on me even though I have given up on myself. A year after I have given birth to our bundle of joy via CS because at that time I was already suffering from pre eclampsia. The surgery is also a leap of faith since there is a possibility of a having a blood clot again. If that happens my case would be fatal.
I think this are the times when I felt brave. But I think its not only bravery that help me out during this times but also our faith that God will be on our side along the way.

You have had too many times to be so brave, but I see you came out well… all things considered.

Coping with Lupus is major bravery, if you ask me! Congratulations on fighting the good fight!
