Hi,

God bless you! This is my 2nd time to write on your blog. Just asking, is it Php 162 per tablet or per day? Also, your complications from Lupus has already affected your heart? As I mentioned to you before, my daughter aged 13 was also diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and right now her complication is on her kidney only (thank God!). But she never had edema ever.

I suggest for alternative to table salt which we use is sea salt. I have not tried Himalayan salt also but interested on one if i see the label at Whole Foods Market.

If I may suggest, I would instead juice the vegetables and not cook it because cooking too long destroys the nutrients of the veggies.

I hope this can be a start of an informative and constructive discussion with you. Take care and God will do the rest!

Hi, diuretics are not a good idea for your type of water retention, which is related to inflammation. In the long term they could make you worse. It’s best to concentrate on as many anti-inflammatory foods as possible, and (as you say) avoid salty food and investigate possible food intolerances. A procedure is given for this in the waterfall diet book along with other help.

Hi! I was reading your entry and I must admit that it is very informative. As I was scrolling down you made mention of eating parsley and it’s juice make your kidney feel better. By the way, my daughter was diagnosed w/ Mixed Connective Tissue Disease last April 2010. As I was saying, I was doing the same with my daughter on eating parsley and it’s juice, however, i noticed that during her sleep at nights, she ends up w/ cramps on her legs. I researched thru the net, and on the website of National Kidney Foundation here in the US, it is said that drinking parsley may cause irritation on the patients kidney, so i stopped giving her that. Then, the cramps started to disappear.

This is not to discourage you from taking the parsley, because i do know that it has a lot of health benefits. Just a thought.

Hi I am Juliet Onineza, a kidney transplant patient for 4 years now ( in Sept 4, 2010) i would like to ask if i can still take the parsley juice to continue improve the activity of my kidney. By the way, the donor of my kidney is my older brother. thanks.

… red juice for lupus ? is it really that effective… even if its featured on rated k,that doesnt mean its really that good… what if its just a propaganda way to promote that product… its still best to consult your doctor first before taking that any alternative drug… im not againts red juice its just, how could we believe so easily, many people tried it,its effective,then what ? what if it isnt… we cant depend on miracles all the time,besides even miracles needs an explanation why it happens…

I really want to try drinking redjuice but the problem is it’s price which I cannot afford to buy. Can you not lessen the price coz it seems this juice is for moneyed persons only. Thanks

Hi Frank,

I am so sorry to hear about your wife. But keep on praying and have a strong faith. At first it may seem that LUPUS is a hopeless case but believe me it is not. I don't really know the condition of your wife but I would really suggest you follow through the medicine that are prescribed to her and make sure that you follow doctor's order. LUPUS is a disease that needs constant monitoring. Eventually, if your wife doctor's is really good, he would be able to control it.

As for the herbal medicine, there are so many out there and all claims but they can cure the disease but beware because not all of them would work. Also, even if they work for me, they may not work for your wife. But in the past I took LACTOVITALLE ( which I am not sure if it still being sold right now, if not try LACTOPAFI), i also took REDJUICE ( but its more expensive as compared to LACTOVITALLE) and right now I am drinking WHEATGRASS ( a sachet cost Php 33 and you have to consume three sachets a day).

My wife is now a lupus patients, I not rich people to have more money to support need medicine for my wife.
Is there anything alternate medicine like herbs can cure of prevent lupus?
